Love for wine, in every bottle!
Gogu Winery is a small family business, developed by winemaker Ilie Gogu and his wife Svetlana. The farm has approximately 10 hectares of vines, located in the region with the Protected Geographical Indication “Stefan Vodă” and a small wine processing and storage unit, located right in the yard of the parents’ house, in the center of the city of Căuseni in the Republic of Moldova.

Ilie is known to a greater extent not as a businessman, but as a winemaker of value. Before founding the family business, Ilie traveled a difficult path, which began with specialized studies in wine technology and continued with 10 years of experience as a technologist – head at one of the largest wine companies in Moldova.
Under Ilie’s supervision, the long process of creating wine takes place – from planting the vine cuttings and picking the grapes to bottling. He watches every stage of production and makes maximum efforts to obtain a select, high-quality product.
The company’s vineyards are located in the most suitable wine-making area in Moldova – the south-east of the country. Every year, increasing the areas with vines. The GoguWinery company is guided by the main rule – the production of select, quality and exclusive wines. For this reason, the number of bottles produced is usually limited.
Since its launch on the market in 2014, Ilie’s wines have received the highest praise from national and international experts. Thus, they were awarded gold medals at the Asia Wine Trophy, Berliner Wine Trophy, Mundus Vini, Decanter, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and at the International Wine Contest Bucharest.
